New Delhi: A 16-year-old student was
sodomised and allegedly stoned to death in the national
capital by two persons after he protested their action, police
said on Wednesday.

The duo -- Yunus (25) and Mukesh (20) -- have been
arrested, a senior police official said, adding that three
juveniles connected to the incident have been sent to an
observation home.
The body of Mahadeb Baidya, a seventh class student,
was found lying on Monday near Giri Nagar Mosque in
Tughlaqabad area in south-east Delhi. There were injury marks
on the face of the deceased which appeared to have been
caused by heavy stones.

During investigation, the deceased`s father told the
police that his son was missing since Sunday night and he had
been trying to locate him through his friends who stay near
Kalkaji temple.

"During investigation, a number of children were
examined and it was established that the deceased was last
seen in the company of some accused Yunus, Mukesh and three
juveniles," the official said.
These two accused persons were arrested and
during sustained interrogation it was learnt that the accused
had called the deceased for a drinking session and on the
pretext of going to temple they took him to the DDA Park.

"They forcibly sodomised him and then in order to
silence his protest killed him with the stones," he said.
Yunus had taken the mobile from the deceased and he
forced him to undress if he wanted the mobile back, he said.

Both accused have been arrested and three juveniles
apprehended in the case have been sent to observation home
separately.
