Bureaucratic reshuffle by Delhi Government

Delhi Government on Friday effected a bureaucratic reshuffle, with many senior officials being given additional assignments.

Divisional Commissioner D M Spolia, an IAS officer of
1979 batch, has been appointed as new Finance Secretary.
PK Tripathi, who was appointed Chief Secretary
earlier this month, was holding additional charge of Finance
Secretary since January after J P Singh moved to Delhi
Electricity Regulatory Commission.

As per the government order, Environment Secretary
Dharmendra, an IAS officer of 1989 batch, will be the new
Divisional Commissioner. He will also hold additional charge
of Revenue Secretary and Development Secretary.

Special Secretary to Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit
Keshav Chandra will hold additional charge of Environment
Secretary.
Nutan Guha Biswas has been appointed as Principal
Secretary (PWD) in place of K K Sharma, who was shifted to
Chandigarh as adviser to the Administrator of the Union
Territory.

Sharma is among five top officials of the city who
were transferred out of Delhi by Union Home Ministry in
February.

Following a request by Dikshit, the Home Ministry had
allowed some of the officials to have extended tenure in Delhi
government.
