CBI moves SC against Mulayam Singh close aide
The CBI approached the Supreme Court against Uttar Pradesh minister Balram Singh Yadav to prosecute him in the 1996 multi-crore Ayurveda scam.
New Delhi: The CBI on Friday approached the Supreme Court against Uttar Pradesh minister Balram Singh Yadav, also a close aide of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, to
prosecute him in the 1996 multi-crore Ayurveda scam.
The investigating agency moved the apex court challenging
the Allahabad High Court order of quashing criminal proceeding
against Yadav who was the state`s health minister at the time
of the scam.
The high court had last year quashed the proceedings
against Yadav, at present Panchyati Raj minister, saying that
proper sanction was not taken from the competent authority to

light in 1996. The probe was entrusted to CBI, which named 106
