New Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a cold morning with the minimum temperature settling at 11 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average, even as fog caused cancellation of 45 trains and delayed 14 others. Flight operations though were normal, an IGI Airport spokesperson said.

According to MeT officials, relative humidity was recorded at 86 percent at 8:30 am.

"Fog cover was shallow in the morning unlike dense cover found yesterday. Visibility remained stable at 1500 metres both at 5:30 am and 8:30 am," a MeT official said.

Besides cancellation and delay in rail services, one train was rescheduled due to fog.

"Trains which were cancelled also included those which were already announced as cancelled. Purushottam and Mahabodhi Express were amongst those running late," according to a
railway official.

The weatherman predicted skies will remain partly cloudy later in the day, but ruled out possibility of rain. "Maximum temperature is likely to settle at around 19 degrees Celsius," he added.

Yesterday, mercury had dipped to a low of 9.6 degrees Celsius while maximum temperature had settled at 15.6 degrees Celsius.
