Church vandalised in Delhi: Home Ministry seeks report

The Ministry of Home Affairs ( MHA) has sought a report from the Delhi Police on the status of security at religious places after a church was allegedly vandalised in Vasant Kunj area of the national capital today.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs ( MHA) has sought a report from the Delhi Police on the status of security at religious places after a church was allegedly vandalised in Vasant Kunj area of the national capital today.

According to reports, the Home Ministry has also asked for the actions that have been taken in earlier such cases.

The chancellor of the Archdiocese of Delhi , Father Matthew Koyickal, earlier in the day confirmed that the St. Alphonse Church in Vasant Kunj area was vandalised and desecrated by unknown persons.

He said that an FIR has been registered and added that the search for the perpetrators is on.

This is the fourth attack on a church in the national capital since December.
