New Delhi: To mark Earth Day, a programme was organized on Friday to clean the green cover having around 2,000 trees in the city's busy commercial hub Nehru Place.

Around 100 employees of Paharpur Business Centre, Nehru Place and staff of The Climate Project India (TCPI) in partnership with Delhi Development Authority (DDA) carried out the cleaning drive.

EU Minister Counsellor Environment Robert Donkers, Apeejay Education Society president Sushma Berlia and Member-Secretary of Planning Commission Sudha Pillai were among those who planted saplings on the occasion.
