New Delhi: Congress leader PC Chacko on Sunday denied Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal`s accusations regarding party funds, saying the grand old party has advised its candidates to find their own election expenditures due to paucity of funds.

"We don`t have money. Our candidates will find their own election expenditure and our party is not in a position to help them and we haven`t been able to campaign because of a deficit of money. But we will match that with the efforts of our candidates," Chacko told ANI here.

"Nobody can raise an accusing finger against the Congress. We have told our candidates to find their own resources and that the party will not be in a position to help them," he added.

Chacko also alleged that Kejriwal`s credentials are being doubted by the public, adding that the former`s statement on his funding is contrary to the truth.

"Kejriwal knows very well that since we are not getting any funds, we have not done party publicity unlike the AAP. The amount that Kejriwal has collected and the statement that he has made..... How much money did he make off the dinner party? Let him come out with an open account," he said.

"Before blaming others, he must also see that the people have started doubting his credentials as well," he added.

Earlier in the day, Kejriwal stated that he had travelled to Bangalore to raise funds for his party and questioned the BJP and Congress as where the parties received its funds to contest the polls.
