New Delhi: Delhi Metro Rail, a household name in commuting in comfort and style along with great security all around, has not only boosted Delhi`s lifestyle but has attracted other states too. All this looks very nice but people hardly know a shocking reality which not only questions the law but is a shameful act. Spotting young couples hanging around Metro stations is quite a regular site but Zee News Crime and Investigation team came to know that now couples can hire rooms to enjoy their `intimate moments`.
Initially we didn`t believe it, but when we did a reality check we were shocked to discover that it`s true. DMRC employees were actually renting out public convenience rooms built in metro stations to young couples. The toilets or bathrooms are converted in a way that can be used as bedrooms. When our reporters enacting as a couple approached them, the caretakers simply asked for money, which can range between Rs 300 to 500 an hour. This illegal activity is not only confined to one station but spread over different stations and locations.
