New Delhi: The Delhi unit of Communist Party Of India (CPI) today staged a protest at Jantar Mantar here against the BJP-led Central government.

"We are today staging a protest against anti-people policies of the Modi-NDA government, which is leading to severe price rise of all essential commodities. The Labour Laws are going to be diluted on the pattern of Rajasthan so that Labourers and workers rights are jeopardise," the party said in a statement.

During their protest, CPI workers raised slogans against the BJP.

Senior party leaders D Raja, Amarjeet Kaur and Dhirendra Sharma were among those who participated in the protest.

"Modi Government is unable to control the severe price hike of all the essential commodities and day to day utility items. Modi may claim that WPI has gone down but every item of public use in retail market is only available at skyrocket prices," it added.
