New Delhi: CPI`s farmers` front on Tuesday asked
Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee to convene a meeting of
similar outfits before drafting the budget in line with the
Ministry`s consultations with chambers of commerce and
industries and trade unions.
"It is a practice of your ministry that while preparing
the union budget you consult with many organisations. What is
the reason that the agricultural sector, which provides
employment to more than 60 per cent of the population, is not
being consulted by you?" All India Kisan Sabha General
Secretary Atul Kumar Anjan said in a letter to Mukherjee.
