New Delhi: BJP on Sunday burnt effigies of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in several areas of the city demanding her immediate resignation over the CAG report indicting her for alleged irregularities in several Commonwealth Games projects.

Launching a "mass movement", the city unit of the party held demonstrations at over 30 places and burnt her effigies as part of the protest.

"We will not stop our agitation until the Chief Minister resigns," said Delhi BJP chief Vijendra Gupta.

In a severe indictment of Dikshit on CWG projects, the CAG cited her "active involvement" in the grant of a work incurring a loss of Rs 30 crore while slamming her government on some projects that led to a loss and escalation of costs of nearly Rs 500 crore.

The report was tabled in Parliament on Friday after which the city unit of the BJP had also demanded registration of a CBI case against Dikshit.

The party will also hold a rally at Ramlila Maidan on August 9 to demand her dismissal while party workers will "gherao" Parliament on August 11 to press for her removal, Gupta said.

He added that the effigies of the Chief Minister were burnt at around 30 places.

the cag report is an audit report based on the documents submitted by the authorities and therefore this is not an enquiry report and thats why no body can be called gulty on the basis of this report.however concerned authorities have to give the reply of this audit paras as far as the chief minister is conerned she has no role to play in the matter.bjp is celebrating and making people fool
