DDA to distribute 1981 housing scheme plots

New Delhi: In a ray of hope to 25,000 home seekers who had applied in a DDA housing scheme 30 years ago, the land developing agency has told the Delhi High Court that it would give physical possession of the plots to successful applicants within one and half years.

G S Patnaik, Vice Chairman of DDA, filed an affidavit before a bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra saying the lay out plans, regarding 21,328 plots, at various residential pockets in Rohini have already been approved by a screening committee.

"The layout plan of these pockets for various categories of residential plots are duly approved by the screening committee for plots numbering 21,328," the affidavit said.

DDA further said the layout plans have been released by the Planning Department for "ascertaining feasibility, demarcation and subsequent allotment."

By not allotting plots to DDA 1981 Rohini Applicants after collecting money from them and acquiring land from the funds entrusted to DDA by the applicants, by selling the land for gains to other person for gains by DDA, thus making profit, DDA has cheated and committed fraud with applicants. DDA being a government organisation cannot be absolved from its criminal acts. It should be punished and innocent applicants be compensated. DDA had used all tactics to shoe away applicants by suggesting to either withdraw from the scheme or shift to another scheme. This proves that DDA has a criminal mind and tried every tact to cheat innocent people.The government should initiate action as the applicant are weak and are not in a position to fight. DDA should return back all the profit it made with the money of applicants, allot land at the 1981 rates, compensate the applicants for hardship faced by applicants due to inefficiency and cheating by DDA. a

my priority no. is 12159, my tele no. is 8750250528, 9013548221, please tell me what is the size of my plot and what is the actual cost of the plot. will it be at the cost of the rate of 1981 or other wise. till when these plots be released. the actual date. i am growing old and weak, frial, could not run away to and fro for want of this plot. please pay heed to my request.

Why the judiciary is not asking DDA to allot land to all applicants based on rates applicable 30 years ago. Let DDA to receive this as part of penaly towards their inaction. Secondly when there are 25,000 applicants and affidavit from VC-DDA cover only 21,328 then what are plans and period of their disposal, has court took note of it. Thirdly if the DDA needs to get the records d/verified when are they going to start this process as verification of applicants is an independent act which has nothing to do with the development work at the site. Fourthly as we have already become old and our income level has already dropped almost to nothing we must be given some estimation. Fifthly can the people assosiated with the project demand land at cost as per rate prevalent 30 years ago.
