Delhi Assembly polls: My new name is 'Vikaas Bedi', says Kiran Bedi

Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Delhi chief ministerial candidates Kiran Bedi on Sunday said that her name has been changed to 'Vikaas Bedi' and she is here to link the development of Delhi with that of the country.

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Delhi chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi on Sunday said that her name has been changed to 'Vikaas Bedi' and she is here to link the development of Delhi with that of the country.

“I am here to link nation's development with Delhi's development. My name has changed to 'Vikas' Bedi,” Bedi was quoted by ANI.

Bedi, along with Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, held a road show in Krishna Nagar area of the national capital.

The former IPS officer is contesting upcoming Assembly polls from Krishna Nagar constituency.

Prior to today's road show, Bedi took to Twitter yesterday to tweet about her new name.

“Given a new name~Vikas Bedi. Just met CM Haryana. He assured regular water supply to Delhi & to work together on Yamuna cleansing..,” she tweeted.

Bedi had attended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally in the national capital yesterday.

Modi had said that Bedi can lead Delhi to development.
