New Delhi: Delhi BJP on Thursday distributed food,
clothes and medicine to hundreds of people in East Delhi
affected by rise in water level in Yamuna.

City BJP chief Vijendra Gupta visited various relief
camps and distributed the materials to the affected people.

The BJP leader also accused the city government of not
providing adequate relief and help to the affected people
living on the banks of river Yamuna.

"The government`s only priority is to organise the
Commonwealth Games. It is not at all worried about the people
affected by the rains," he said.

Gupta visited several areas, including Yamuna Ghat,
Yamuna Bazar, Wazirabad, Gandhi Nagar and adjoining areas.

Currently, over 1,400 people are taking shelter in 169
relief camps set up in various places in East Delhi.
