New Delhi: BJP Tuesday complained to the New Delhi District Election Officer (DEO) that the names of shifted voters from New Delhi constituency are still figuring in the electoral list of the area.

Delhi BJP executive member Sunil Kumar Yadav gave a representation to DEO A Abhiyankar in this regard.

Yadav stated that during the party`s door-to-door campaign party workers had come across many houses in the New Delhi constituency area whose residents had shifted to other area including Bawana and Narela a year back, but still their names have not been removed from the list.
"Many residents at five booths in Bangali camp, Arjun Das Camp, Kidwai Nagar and Aliganj in Lodhi road among other areas have moved to other places," he said.

"The election commission has earlier announced that around 15 lakh voters have been identified where booth level officers would conduct verification drive and remove their names if they are not found there.
"If such a drive was conducted then how come so many discrepancies are coming up?" Yadav said.

Appealing the Election commission to take immediate action, Yadav said any political party could take advantage of such votes in the upcoming Delhi polls on December 4.
