Gurgaon: The Gurgaon police on Wednesday arrested three youth, accused of gang-raping a 19-year-old call centre employee, a report said.

The call centre employee hails from Delhi.

The young girl was returning from her friend's birthday party in Sector 46 of Gurgaon post-midnight Wednesday when the heinous incident took place, police said.

Those arrested have been identified as Dinesh, Navin and Sachdev.

Joint Commissioner of Police Maheshwar Dayal said the main accused Dinesh offered her a lift on his bike to the nearest metro station.

He then took her to a flat where two of his friends joined him, the police said.

The trio allegedly offered the girl a drink laced with sedatives and then took turns to rape her after she fell unconscious.

Police also said that Dinesh is a property dealer and a resident of Jharsa village on the Gurgaon-Delhi expressway. All three men are in their mid-20s.

The recent incident has exposed the tall claims by the district administration and the police regarding safety and security to women employees.
