Delhi continues to reel under hot, humid weather

Hot and humid conditions continued to torment Delhiites on Friday as rains dodged the national capital and mercury settled three notches above normal.

New Delhi: Hot and humid conditions continued to torment Delhiites on Friday as rains dodged the national capital and mercury settled three notches above normal.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 37 degrees Celsius, three points above normal and slightly higher than the 36.4 degrees recorded yesterday.

The minimum was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius, one point above normal, alike yesterday's reading.

According to the Met office, no rainfall was recorded in the city today. The humidity in the air oscillated between 82 percent and 43 percent.

The Met department has predicted partly cloudy sky tomorrow.

"The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 37 degrees Celsius while the minimum could touch 28 degrees Celsius," the MeT office added.
