New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday filed a charge sheet against jailed gangster Neeraj Bawana, former Delhi legislator Rambeer Shokeen and others under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) for allegedly running an organised crime syndicate.
The charge sheet was filed before Additional Sessions Judge Neena Bansal Krishna, who posted the matter for further hearing on September 24.
The charge sheet filed by the special cell of Delhi Police named Bawana, Shokeen and eight others as accused.
Shokeen is on the run, and was declared proclaimed offender by the court last week.
Bawana was arrested on April 7 from west Delhi`s Mundka area and is in judicial custody with eight other accused.
