Delhi govt bureaucrats fear harassment, don't want to work under Arvind Kejriwal: Reports

New Delhi: A number of Delhi government bureaucrats have informed the Ministry of Home Affairs that they do not want to continue working under Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, a self-professed anarchist.

According to reports, the officers fear harassment if they protest against the Delhi CM, who is also a founder of the Aam Aadmi Party.

The officers want to get transferred from Delhi to newer places.

The Delhi government is currently engaged in a tussle with Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung on the transfer and posting of bureaucrats.

The issue has snow-balled into a full-blown war between Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung.

The tussle between Kejriwal and Jung, which started over the appointment of senior bureaucrat Shakuntala Gamlin as the acting chief secretary, escalated into a situation where another bureaucrat, principal secretary (Services) Anindo Majumdar, was locked out of his office at the Delhi Secretariat on Monday.

This was reportedly done on the orders of Kejriwal as Majumdar had followed the LG's orders to appoint Gamlin as the acting chief secretary.
