New Delhi: Delhi government on Tuesday decided
to speed up developmental work at over 1,600 unauthorised
colonies which were given provisional regularisation
certificates in the year 2008.
"We have decided to speed up developmental work in the
unauthorised colonies," Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said
after a cabinet meeting.
The Delhi government had issued provisional
regularisation certificates to over 1,600 unauthorised
colonies ahead of the Assembly election in 2008.
The government has already spent Rs 2,800 crore in
providing basic services in these colonies.
