Delhi government has asked all heads of its departments to provide detail of those employees or their families who are still occupying governmnent flats unauthorisedly even after their retirement or death.

New Delhi: Delhi government has asked all heads of its departments to provide detail of those employees or their families who are still occupying governmnent flats unauthorisedly even after their retirement or death.

Sources said that there are hundreds of employees who are enjoying government accomodation 'illegally' in the national capital.

According to Public Works Department (PWD), several employees are not providing the information about their retirement due to which they are using the government accommodation unauthorisedly.

"In view of this, the department has asked all HODs to give us details about such persons.

"It has been observed that governmnet employees who are occupying the GNCT of Delhi flats on retirement are not providing the copy of their retirement order to PWD for finalisation of the government dues on vacation of the flat," a senior official said.

The official also said that it has also been observed that head of the office of all departments are not providing the information of retiring employees who continue occupying the government accomodation unauthorisely without paying the required government dues.
