New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Thursday
rejected the anticipatory bail plea of a maid servant who
faces arrest on the charge of duping her master of more one
The maid servant is accused of cheating her 76-year
employer, who is at an advance stage of Parkinson disease, by
withdrawing money from his various banks accounts after
getting his signature.
She has also been accused of getting the residential
building of a posh colony in North Delhi transferred to her
name by fabricating documents.
Taking into consideration the serious allegations
levelled against her, Justice S N Aggarwal refused to grant
any protection to her from being arrested by the Police.
"The accusations against the petitioner are of very
serious nature which do not entitle her to pre-arrest bail.
She is accused of cheating her master and has thereby belied
the trust reposed in her," the court said.
In this case, a criminal complaint was filed against her
after the family of the landlord came to know that the
property has been illegally taken over by the maid Janaki.
