New Delhi: Angry relatives of a 21-year-old man, whose body was found near railway tracks in east Delhi ten days ago and later cremated by police, on Wednesday staged a protest claiming that authorities did not make efforts to establish his identity.
Nagendra Tiwari, a resident of Jagatpuri, was missing
from his house since April 26 and a missing persons report was
filed the same day.

However, yesterday the family came to know that his
body was found in Madhu Vihar and was cremated by police as it
was unidentified.
Enraged over it, his family and relatives blocked
traffic near Gagan Vihar this evening for about two hours.
Some protesters also allegedly tried to snatch keys of some
vehicles stranded in the snarl.

A senior police official said a departmental inquiry
had been initiated into the incident.
