New Delhi: Delhi Mahila Congress on Thursday launched 'Ek Koshish', an initiative aimed at providing counselling and legal advise to women suffering from domestic violence, sexual harassment and other forms of crime.

Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken inaugurated the programme which will be run three days in a week from the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) office at Rajiv Bhawan here.

Maken said that 'Ek Koshish' is not a parallel organization but purely a social initiative of Delhi Congress to fulfil its social responsibility by providing free counselling and legal advise to vulnerable women in the city.

Experts in various fields, including lawyers, will sit at the Mahila Congress office at Rajiv Bhawan three days a week to help the victims, he said.

Delhi Mahila Congress president Barkha Shukla Singh expressed hope that the initiative will extend a helping hand to women victims of various crimes and harassment in the city.
