New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a 27-year-old man was arrested in the national capital for reportedly driving around with the dead body in his SUV.
According to reports, the accused, identified as Navin, was driving around with the dead body of a 40-year-old woman with bullet injuries. He was sent to four days police custody.
According to a report published in India Today, Navin made a phone call to the deceased's sister and told her that her sister Anjali had committed suicide and he was going to follow suit. The sister immediately called the police and informed them who acted swiftly on the information and stopped Navin near Delhi University's Bonta Park. He was arrested by the cops from the spot. The police also recovered the weapon used in the crime.
During the interrogation, Navin apparently told the police the woman had committed suicide by shooting herself with a revolver.
However, the cops are still not sure if the accused was trying to dump her body in the city or was trying to flee. According to one of the police officials, Navin was having an extra-marital affair with the woman and killed her in a cold blood.
