Delhi: Man burnt alive after car catches fire Zeenews Bureau

New Delhi: In a tragic incident, an unidentified person was charred to death after his car suddenly caught fire on the Azadpur Road in the national capital on Thursday, creating panic among commuters.

As per reports, the Maruti Alto car, which was parked in the side-lane of the busy road, caught fire causing the death of one person who was seen lying unconscious on the front row seat next to the driver’s seat.

The exact reason of the fire is yet to be ascertained, however, initial investigation suggests that it could not have been caused by a spark in the CNG system of the car.

Traffic on the Azadpur road has been stopped for the moment as fireengines are being rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

Top police officials have also reached the spot to take stock of the situation.

Police are making efforts to identify the car owner.

Why all blames Maruti for this Issue? There are lot of things need to be considered before blaming (any) Corporate Giant like Maruti. 1. More than 22,000 Alto cars are into Market per month, also Alto is there in market since 2000. This is the only one incident of same kind I heard so far. 2. The Car was not running, just was parked where a chance of fire due to the car`s make mistake is very less. 3. Karan - New Delhi says that CNG can be dangerous if fitted outside.4. Again there is lot more factors if we take into account that we are in India. For sure, I am going for a Maruti Alto k10 soon!!

It is very upsetting to hear about this gentleman who was burnt to death in his own car. What does Maruti have say about this? Why isn’t government intervening?

Mr. Arora is survived by his wife who is five months pregnant. This is sad news. Who is accountable for this? Maruti should be sued for killing young innocent people. The quality of cars Maruti is manufacturing is not upto the mark. Do they even consider the safety of consumers? I will never buy a Maruti car....

This is really bad if somebody died only due to safety issues Maruti should rethink and plan fire safety for people . there have been two cases of Maruti card burning and people dying in car. this is really amatter of thought for all the people to rethink of ssafety measures at the time of buying a new car.
