Delhi Metro to run on single line between Sarita Vihar, Badarpur

New Delhi: The Delhi Metro on Friday said train services between Sarita Vihar and Badarpur stations will run on single line for a few hours over the weekend due to construction work

Train services between the two stations, which fall on Line 6, operating from Mandi House to Badarpur, would run on single line Feb 28 and March 1, a statement said.

On Feb 28, trains would run on single line from 11 p.m. till the last revenue service, while on March 1, the trains would run on single line from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., it said.

The frequency during this period would be approximately 16 minutes "which is more or less similar to a normal day schedule, with no major impact on passenger movement from one end to another end of the line", the statement said.

"This is necessitated due to OHE (Over Head Electricity) interlinking work planned by the DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) on these days between Badarpur end of Line 6 with upcoming extension of Line 6 towards Faridabad side," it said.

Two stations - Mohan Estate and Tughlakabad - fall between the Sarita Vihar and Badarpur stations.
