Delhi Police file case in JNU sex clip scandal

Over two weeks after the JNU was rocked by a video clip showing two of its students in a compromising position, the Delhi Police lodged FIR in the case.

New Delhi: Over two weeks after the Jawaharlal Nehru University was rocked by the emergence of a video clip showing two of its students in a compromising position, the Delhi Police Thursday lodged a first information report (FIR) in the case.

"An FIR has been lodged against unknown people and we have started investigations," Joint Commmisioner of Police Amulya Patnaik said.

The varsity Feb 13, after an internal inquiry, expelled two male students and rusticated another for their involvement in the case.
"The university`s probe report and a complaint was forwarded to the Delhi Police, on which the FIR was registered today aginst unknown people," Deputy Commissioner of Police HGS Dhaliwal said.
