Delhi Police official`s son killed as car overturn

A 25-year-old son of a Delhi Police official was killed and five others were injured when the car carrying them turned turtle here, police said on Thursday.

New Delhi: A 25-year-old son of a Delhi Police official was killed and five others were injured when the car carrying them turned turtle here, police said on Thursday.

The incident took place at Ashok Vihar at around 10.30 pm yesterday and the deceased has been identified as Vikas Mann, son of Assistant Commissioner of Police Bhola Ram Mann.

Vikas and five of his friends were on their way to a market when the incident took place.

According to police, he lost control of the car while overtaking a truck and rammed into a divider.

All the six were rushed to the Bara Hindu Rao Hospital where doctors declared Vikas brought dead.

The injured have been identified as Rahul Kaushik, Pulkit Gupta, Prawesh Dahiya, Kamal Garg and Vaibhav Mittal.
