Delhi to get school for construction workers` children

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said her government would soon open a school for the children of construction workers at the national capital.

Dikshit on Sunday said her government would soon open a school
for the children of construction workers at the national
capital.

Impressed by the efforts of Kalinga Institute of
Social Sciences (KISS) in Orissa in imparting education to
about 12,000 tribal students at one campus, Dikshit said her
government could help the neglected children by setting up a
similar school at the national capital.

Dikshit said this to reporters after being conferred
the D.Lit degree by the KIIT University at its 6th annual
convocation.

Besides Dikshit, the private university conferred
honourary Degree of Doctorate to six distinguished
personalities from various walks of life.
