Demolition by DMRC; HC rejects plea for alternate shops

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday dismissed a plea by two persons seeking allotment of alternative shops after their earlier shops were demolished on account of a project of the DMRC.

dismissed a plea by two persons seeking allotment of
alternative shops after their earlier shops were demolished on
account of a project of the DMRC.

"There is no merit in either of the writ petitions and
they are dismissed as such," Justice S Muralidhar said.

The court allowed the plea of Delhi government that the
shops were given to Saudagar Singh and Updesh Bakshi, the
traders, on license basis and moreover, the period for the
licenses had expired.
