New Delhi: Rail, road and air traffic were affected as moderate to dense fog covered many parts of north India on Saturday.

The Indian Railways has suffered the most with 101 Delhi-bound trains running behind schedule, 18 were rescheduled and 11 trains have been cancelled due to fog.

Flight operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport were also affected by the thick blanket of fog.

While, six International flights at IGI Airport were delayed, 13 domestic flights were rescheduled.

Cold wave, fog conditions prevailed in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, Kanpur and Moradabad.

Vehicular movement was affected in Chandigarh and Ludhiana due to dense fog.

Delhi woke up to a morning here with the minimum temperature recorded at 11.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season`s average, the weather office said.

According to the weather office, the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 95 percent and the visibility was 400 meters.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 27 degree Celsius.

Friday`s maximum temperature settled at 26.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season`s average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 7.7 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season`s average.
