Dhaula Kuan gangrape: court sends two suspects to one-day JC

The incident had taken place in the wee hours of November 26 when the Mizo woman was walking towards her home in Moti village near Dhaula Kuan in South West Delhi.

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Thursday remanded 2 men, arrested in connection with the gangrape case of a 30-year-old call centre employee here last week, to one-day
judicial custody as the police moved a plea for their test
identification parade (TIP) by the victim.

"Accused Shamshad and Usman are sent to judicial custody
till tomorrow," Metropolitan Magistrate Sushil Kumar said.

The investigators, who did not seek their police custody,
first wanted to get them identified by the victim in judicial
custody.

Earlier, the police arrested Shamshad and Usman, who are
in their early twenties, from Haryana`s Mewat last night.

The incident had taken place in the wee hours of November
26 when the Mizo woman was walking towards her home in Moti
village near Dhaula Kuan in South West Delhi along with one of
her colleagues when the men in a vehicle abducted her and
raped her. She was later dumped at Mongolpuri.
