Dikshit announces April 14 as holiday

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday announced April 14 as holiday on the occasion of birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar.

New Delhi: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday announced April 14 as holiday on the occasion of birth
anniversary of BR Ambedkar.

The holiday has been declared under the Negotiable
Instrument Act.

The city government also announced April 16 gazetted
holiday on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.

The holiday on Mahavir Jayanti was notified earlier.
by the city government.

Meanwhile Dikshit has conveyed her greetings to all
Delhiites on the occasion of Ram Navmi on Tuesday.

In a message, she expressed confidence that "we all
will be able to imbibe ideals of Lord Sri Ram in our lives."
