New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Thursday reviewed the functioning of women helpline `181` and suggested that the service should be improved further.
At a high-level meeting, Dikshit also insisted on improving coordination with the Delhi Police for redressal of grievances of the callers.

Dikshit, at the meeting, directed officials concerned to increase the number of telephone lines of the service so that callers are not made to wait for long.

The `181` service was launched by the Delhi government in the wake of the gang-rape of a paramedic student that shook the country.

The helpline is exclusively for women to complain about the problems they face on the road and complain about any incidents involving them.

Dikshit will also hold another review meeting on Monday.
