New Delhi: The organisers of the Commonwealth Games have a new task at hand at the Games village - catching stray dogs.
The authorities after getting all the negative publicity over dog paw marks on the white beds in the Village, where the athletes would be staying, and the dog poo in the kitchen
sink, have now launched a drive against the canines. Dog catchers could be seen in action scurrying after a brown stray dog across the running track at the Village here.
Even though it was finally caught, it did not give in without a fight. The poor canine was literally dragged off by the team. A quick work on the neck of the dog by one of the
catchers is what finally made him quiet.
Unconfirmed reports said many more dogs have been caught at the village. A lady associated with the Games denied that any dogs were caught. Told about the picture, she said may be it was just one.
