immigration officials during the Commonwealth Games.

"Being the first point of interaction for the tourists,
immigration officials create the first impression about the
country and its people. Therefore, they should maintain a

Aiming at maintaining utmost courtesy and warmth towards
vistors during the Games, the Ministry has conducted a

Immigration officials are mostly drawn from the police and
hence have a totally different orientation from that required
in a service industry like tourism.

"The prime objective of the training is to focus on
enhancement in behavioural aspects of immigration officials,"

The officials work in a very tough environment having duty

public face of "Incredible India".

The training programme covers the important aspects of
tourism and behavioural aspects like cross-cultural
communication, manners, etiquette, positive attitude, group
behaviour, handling stress and time management.
