Election of MCD ward committee chairmen on May 20-21

New Delhi: The elections to the post of
Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen of MCD Ward Committees will be
held on May 20 and 21.

On the same day, polling will also be held to choose six
members of MCD Standing Committee to be nominated by Ward
Committees, the civic body said in a statement today.
The Ward Committees which will elect the members are
Sadar Pahar Ganj Zone, Central Zone, Rohini Zone, City Zone,
Shahdara North Zone and South Zone. The election has been
necessitated by retirement of six members.
The vacant posts of three members of the Standing
Committee nominated by the MCD House had been filled on April
30 with J K Sharma, Yogender Chandolia and Sarita Chaudhary
being elected unopposed.
