New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Thursday told a court
here it was awaiting forensic examination report of cartridges
and other articles recovered from the site of September 2010
firing-cum-blast near Jama Masjid, suspected to be the
handiwork of IM operatives arrested recently from across the
country.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vinod Yadav sought to know
if the articles recovered from the incident site have been
sent for the FSL examination, to which police said the report
was awaited.

The court also extended the custody of six alleged IM
operatives Mohammed Qatil Siddiqui, Gohar Aziz Khumani,
Mohammed Adil, Mohammed Irshad, Gayur Ahmed Jamali and Aftab
Alam alias Farooq, who, the Special Cell claimed, have
confessed to their involvement in the blast.

The blast took place minutes after a shootout by two
men in which two Taiwanese tourists were injured.
