New Delhi: Delhi Police on Wednesday claimed to
have smashed a gang of contract killers with the arrest of
three youths who are wanted in at least eight cases in Delhi
and neighbouring states.
Nirbhay Thakur (29), Dinesh Verma (26) and Naresh
Sharma (24) were apprehended from East Delhi`s Gazipur

Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), said.
The gang is involved in several cases of contract
killings and robberies in Delhi, UP and Haryana.
"It was learnt that Thakur after coming out of jail in
2009 has re-organised his gang and has been planning to
execute a contract killing and robbery," Kampani said.
Nirbhay Thakur had one .32 bore pistol and Dinesh and
Naresh Sharma were in possession of one .315 bore pistol each
when they were arrested.

involvement in many such cases," Kampani said.
