Ghaziabad police nab 308 criminals in 48 hrs

Ghaziabad police have nabbed 308 criminals wanted in cases of loot, dacoity, murder, rape among others during the last 48 hours under "Operation Flush Out".

District police chief Dharmendra Singh today said that the two-day operation was launched on April 7 across all police stations.

All SHOs were especially instructed to round-up absconding criminals in their areas, he said.

In the operation, 37 persons wanted in Gangster Act, 12 in dacoity and loot cases, 16 in murder and dowry death cases, 10 in rape cases, 16 wanted in other heinous crimes, 8 criminals expelled out from the district?living in hideouts here, 207 criminals who had jumped bail and not appeared in the courts and 2 carrying a reward of 5,000 rupees on their head were arrested.

Teams of Kavi Nagar, Mussorie and Murad Nagar police stations have been awarded first, second and third positions respectively, the officer added.
