New Delhi: Former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda, who was admitted to jail hospital Thursday for high blood pressure, is stable but still hospitalised, police said.

Kanda's condition is now stable but he is still hospitalised and doctors are monitoring his health, said Tihar Jail spokesperson Sunil Gupta.

"On Kanda's complaint of a pain in his chest, he was shifted to jail hospital on doctors' advice where his blood pressure was noticed to be high," said Gupta.

The former Haryana minister is accused of abetting suicide of 23-year-old former air hostess Geetika Sharma.

Kanda, who evaded police for ten days, was finally arrested when he surrendered in north Delhi's Ashok Vihar police station Aug 18.

A Delhi court sent him to 14-day judicial custody Tuesday after his ten-day police custody.

The 46-year-old owner of the now defunct MDLR Airlines, Kanda is accused of abetting suicide of Geetika Sharma, who was found hanging at her Ashok Vihar flat Aug 5.

Geetika in her suicide notes accused Kanda and his employee Aruna Chaddha of harassing her and responsible for driving her to suicide.

Wow this is wonderful, while the common Indian is denied medical care, infants are left to die because the parents cant come up with Rs200 we have GOPAL KANDA being given medical care in a hospital paid for by the Indian Tax payer!! FREE. Small time small town `businessman` to corrupt politician, lacing palms with money, calling in favors intimidating , threatening and eventually driving people to suicide! The bigger the criminal the better the treatment from the police and politicians. Free medial care, good food, doctor on call 24/7. Kanda and his team negotiated well Before he even went to police custody he went for a medical checkup. Thats the route he will use to slip away. Well negotiate no doubt with the full collusion of the police and the judicial system

Kanda has earned a lot of money. Earning money is not a crime. He is not yet proved guilty of abetting suicide. As long as he is not proved guilty he is innocent. Our system is unnecessarily torturing him. Getting good food, medication is his right which he cannot be denied. Kanda never asked Geetika to do suicide. She was with him for her own benefits. She got lots of wealth from Kanda. Kanda follows his natural instinct which every animal of the world follows. There is no section in Indian law system which holds Kanda criminal for flirting with many girls. One such girl was stupid and she did suicide on spur of moment and named Kanda in her suicide note. That does not mean Kanda is guilty. Our law system will never be able to prove him guilty. Of course he will lose a lots of money at the gain of his popularity. His bollywood film will be super hit. In fact we males are jealous of Kanda and we feel that women can never go wrong
