Heavy rains lashed the capital for the second consecutive day today, leading to water logging and traffic jams in several parts of the city.

New Delhi: Heavy rains lashed the capital for
the second consecutive day today, leading to water logging and
traffic jams in several parts of the city.
The showers, which started around 9:30 am, led to
water-logging in ITO, Mahipalpur, Janakpuri, Laxmi Nagar,
Pitampura and Rohini.

The rain guages measured 0.8 mm of showers during the
past 24 hours ending 8 am.

Vehicular traffic was affected in many areas in west,
east and south Delhi following the rains.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.5 degree
Celsius, down from yesterday`s 28.2 degrees.

The Met department has predicted more showers later in
the day.
