New Delhi: Delhi was drenched Sunday morning as heavy rains lashed the capital, leading to waterlogging in many areas. The weatherman predicted more showers during the day.
"The skies will remain cloudy and pockets of the city will receive rains or thundershowers... A few spells may be heavy in some areas," said an official of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
The capital received 4 mm of rainfall between Saturday morning and 8.30 am on Sunday.
The incessant rains caused waterlogging in several parts of the city and small cars were seen stuck in pools of water in some localities.
The minimum temperature dropped by a notch to 23.1 degrees Celsius while the maximum is expected to hover around 31 degrees.
The maximum humidity was recorded at 96 percent while the minimum was 66 percent, the official said.
