New Delhi: High humidity levels made life
difficult for Delhiites on Monday even as the mercury remained
below 40 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature rose to 39.5 degrees Celcius,
up from yesterday`s 37.5 degrees while the minimum fell to
27.5 against 29.3 degrees.
The humidity oscillated between 77 per cent and 45 per
Residents, however, are expected to get some respite
from the scorching heat tomorrow with the Met department
predicting cloudy sky and thunderstorms with the maximum and
minimum temperatures expected to remain around 39 and 29
degrees Celsius respectively.
"The sky will be partly cloudy and there could be
thunderstorms in some areas," a senior MeT official said.
