New Delhi: The weather was hot and sultry in the national capital on Monday with humidity remaining on the higher side.
The day temperature, which settled at 36.7 degree Celsius, was three notches above the normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.1 deg C, which is normal for this part of the year, MeT officials said.
The city received 13.4 mm rain in the last 24 hours ending at 8:30 in the morning.
Humidity oscillated between 53 and 94 per cent, making Delhiites sweat throughout the day.
The weatherman has predicted generally cloudy sky and light rains in some parts. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain around 35 deg C and 26 deg C respectively.
