Infrastructure projects for CWG will be over on time: Chouhan

With just over 270 days left for the Commonwealth Games, Delhi Government today said all the infrastructure projects linked to the event will be completed within the stipulated time frame.

New Delhi: With just over 270 days left for
the Commonwealth Games, Delhi Government today said all the
infrastructure projects linked to the event will be completed
within the stipulated time frame.

"All the projects will be completed well ahead of the
commencement of the Games," Delhi PWD Minister Raj Kumar
Chouhan said here.

Chouhan and top PWD officials today visited Thyagraj and
Chhatrasal stadium to personally assess the progress of work.

The Tayagraj stadium, venue for netball, is being
renovated at a cost of Rs 300 crore while Rs 100 crore was
sanctioned to upgrade the Chhatrasal stadium, where athletics
would be held.

Officials said the process of installation of lift and
escalators at Thyagraj stadium has been completed.
Chouhan also visited the Ludlo Castle sporting complex
which is being renovated at a cost of Rs 20.
