ITI topper, former HSBC manager among held for robbery

Delhi Police today claimed to have cracked a robbers` gang with the arrest of three persons, including an ITI topper and former HSBC manager, from whom three pistols and stolen articles were recovered

New Delhi: Delhi Police today claimed to
have cracked a robbers` gang with the arrest of three persons,
including an ITI topper and former HSBC manager, from whom
three pistols and stolen articles were recovered.

Sandeep Kumar (36) the gang leader, Fateh Singh (32),
a team leader with HSBC bank and Amit Gaur (29), the ITI
topper, were caught on September seven, a senior police
official said.

The gang was allegedly involved the stealing of money
from a foreign money exchange firm on August 25 in Lajpat
Nagar.

During interrogation, the official claimed, they
confessed to the stealing money from the foreign money
exchange firm.

Sandeep`s father is a passport agent while his mother
is a retired Dy Director of DDA.

Gaur is the son of a Lab Assistant in IIT. He was the
topper among ITI students in Delhi in 2001.

Singh`s father is working as a Section Officer in IIT
Delhi. He started working in ICICI bank as senior sales
executive in 2001 where he worked till 2004. He got a better
job in HSBC Bank so he left the job of ICICI bank and started
working as team manager in HSBC Bank. He worked there up to
2006.
