New Delhi: Delhi Government will develop the
interstate bus terminal at Kashmere Gate as a model terminal
by providing all modern facilities.
Transport Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely said this after
inspecting renovation work at the terminal.
The terminal is being renovated at a cost of Rs 70 crore.
"We will develop it as a world class terminal equipped
with ultra-modern facilities for passengers liked centralised
air conditioning, glass lifts, escalators, waiting halls,
waterless urinals and food courts," he said.
He said an automatic and centralised public information
system to inform about arrival and departure of the buses,
would also be installed.
Keeping in view the security aspects, he said CCTV
cameras would be installed across the terminal.
