New Delhi: Delhi BJP on Friday hit out at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal saying he has become a "political stuntman" and "opportunist" who has deviated from his poll promises, and has left people to suffer from various problems as his government was busy in infighting in AAP.

"People are left to cry for water and power even before advent of summer. Traders are being harassed with threats of raid under the pressure of collecting more revenue.

"Women are awaiting deployment of guards in DTC buses and RWAs are yet to see CCTV cameras installed," Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay said, adding but the government was busy in infighting and freely distributing the high-level posts to its MLAs to survive.

"Haryana is supplying more water to Delhi but the CM is busy in finishing his opponents in the party instead of improving water distribution system," Upadhyay alleged.

He also said it was strange that the leaders who resigned over the issue of Lokpal were disregarding internal Lokpal of the party and judiciary.

"The Chief Minister who claimed of political honesty, purity and swaraj has become a political stuntman and opportunist instead of being an able administrator," Upadhyay said in a statement.

Meanwhile, expressing joy over awarding Bharat Ratna to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Upadhyay said, "Atalji's contribution to Indian politics and culture is appreciated by all, and the nation has completed its duty by honouring the most honest and clean Prime Minister."
